Abstract
The goal of the project was to create a 2D animation, roughly 40 seconds in length. The contents of the project were at my discretion, and as such, I created something cartoony and based upon traditional magical girl animations with a post-apocalyptic twist.
The animation features a team of robotic salvaging drones, arriving in the ruins of a man-made settlement. They filter through the rubble, and one eventually finds a magical relic. This relic grants them both magical powers, and sentience, the gift of independent thought. Fascinated and thrilled by their new found appearance, they’re too distracted to see the other drones converging on them, who then attempt to take them hostage.
