Abstract
Arthur is a 22-year-old man who has developed a drinking problem and severe negative outlook on life after the recent passing of his father. They lived together in an old renovated farmhouse in the hinterland of Australia. Mary is Arthur’s 9 year old sister who Arthur is now the legal guardian of since his father’s passing.
The film begins with Arthur’s normal daily routine of house chores and intoxication. His younger sister, Mary, joins him in the living room where they have an argument and Mary leaves upset. Arthur falls asleep and dreams of his father and upon awakening, discovers his little sister has run away from home to live in the forest.
Arthur must venture into the woods to find his sister to make sure she returns home safely. After time passes he grows tired and starts to fear that he may not find her.
