Abstract
Dragon brew is a branding experiment combining the famous table top roll playing game [TTRPG] Dungeons and Dragons with craft beer. Using different characters to turn a 6 pack into an adventuring party. With 5 different character types of beer: Barbarian, Bard, Paladin, Rogue and Sorcerer.
The 6 pack packaging is created in the geometric stylisation of a treasure chest keeping it within the theme of TTRPG. The logo was also fantasy inspired as it depicts a red dragon created using straight edges. The typeface used for the character labels is Mesmerize and the typeface used for the logo is Day Roman.
The colour scheme was created to try and explore the scope of the characters. Barbarian: red, Blood, anger. Bard: purple, flamboyant, fun. Paladin: yellow, divine, light. Rogue: Dark green, hiding, camouflage. Sorcerer: Blue, arcane, knowledge, power. In the end I created 5 beer bottles, 1 six pack layout, 2 display six pack images, 1 deluxe package image, 5 shirts, 5 labels and 3 logo variations. - Creator.
