Abstract
Aesthetic Goals
In relation to the aesthetic goals for this project, the overall intention was to create six tracks that evoke a sense of optimism, calm and peace. In terms of lyrics, the theme revolves around the idea of ‘Serendipity’ - finding something good without searching for it. Lyrically, the goal was to explain the importance of serendipity in my life, while being accompanied by music that encourages listeners to feel a bit more at peace and ready to move on.
Regardless of the minor genre changes for multiple tracks, the overall aesthetic has not changed as a result. The initial goal was to combine Ambient music with a number of genres such as Latin Pop, Synth Pop and Hip Hop. While some of the genres have been altered to fit my style and vocals, each song maintains the desired ambient sound. Initially this album was an opportunity for me to experiment with genres I listen to while still making a genre I am fully comfortable with and able to produce quickly. - (Extract taken from Creators Quality Assurance Essay).
