Abstract
This Is The Way is a participatory documentary which follows Members of the Sandhawk Clan of the Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club. They are a group of Star Wars fans who create costumes reminiscent of the Mandalorian characters in the Star Wars universe. This documentary follows director Jake Stockton, a huge Star Wars fan, and his experience and journey into the lives of the Sandhawk Clan and documents what it means the be part of the group. This documentary also follows the costume making process as well as how this club has grown and impacted the lives of its members.
Also touching on Little Warriors International, a charity created by the Mandalorian Mercs and what they do to help sick and underprivileged children. Jake and crew filmed this documentary over 4 months, going to different events and homes of the Mandalorian Merc Members to really experience what goes on behind the costumes and conventions of this club.
