Mindful Escapes is a project that incorporates binaural beats in a VR environment to help the player reach a relaxed state of mind. This project features one stylized environment as a proof of concept with intent to continue production and cover more environment types/biomes. Using the HTC Vive the player can teleport through the environment to view colourful flower fields, tree houses, luscious forests, caves, a water-fall and beautiful depictions of Buddha statues. Mindful Escapes has taken every measure to ensure cultural sensitivity. The binaural beats mixed with the localised SoundFX help the player reach a relaxed state of mind while travelling around and enjoying the environment.

Mindful Escapes uses a combination of traditional modelling, sculpting and photo scanning assets to create a 3D stylistic/realistic environment. Using concepts created in CIU310, Mindful Escapes has been able to construct an enjoyable environment through rigorous playtesting and feedback implementation. We can confidently say we have created a successful proof of concept to pitch as a continuing project down the track. List of. - Creators.
