Abstract
My major project is ‘The Uncanny Valley’, an instrumental , nine track EP I created under the pseudonym Trrctta. The main purpose of this record was to broaden and hone my skills in audio production as well as have a finished product I can use as a portfolio of my abilities.
I have composed, produced, recorded, mixed and mastered this record over the duration of the last 2 trimesters. This project was an opportunity for me to experiment and expand my ability on in variety styles of music and production that I have an interest in exploring. It was also an opportunity for me have a go at a multitude of disciplines in the various stages of music production from demoing, all the way to mastering and distribution.
This record touches on a variety of styles, from electronic, to live instrumentation as well as a hybrid of the two. It also explored different genres from rock, hip-hop, electronica, psychedelic etc.
