Abstract
The purpose of my major project submission for CIU330-18T2, titled; RPM Inc., was to develop content for my portfolio. This would showcase my skills as a record/mix engineer (live/studio) and an Audio Content Producer, with the objective to gain professional work in this field. I also wanted to collaborate with like-minded creatives, who held similar values. The philosophy behind the subject matter in the following projects has motivated my involvement, just as much as the desire to solidify a body of work.
The construction of my online portfolio was entirely my work. As I am not, by any means a graphic artist, website designer or film-maker, the layout of content visible on my website is incomplete. This is something I will hire a professional to polish and maintain in the near future.
My submission for Selfless Orchestra includes the raw recorded tracks in a protools session, as well as photos and video of the recording process. Mixing this project was not the objective, as the focus was to gain the best possible recording within a live environment. THE PHILOSOPHY: “Great Barrier” has been inspired by one man’s quest to highlight the destruction of the Great Barrier Reef over the past 50years in the hope that other humans will take action to contribute positively to saving it.
