Abstract
My Happiest Memories is a poetic exploration of how people grapple with depression through nostalgia, art and personal experience. The film is told through the lens of our narrator, a young woman while reading aloud a poem as she flows in and out of depressive episodes and feelings of longing discontentment after she has moved away from home once again. She reflects and recontextualizes past experience and memories, all the while asking herself what it means to achieve happiness?
