Abstract
A YOUNG MAN sits at a ROUND BAR TABLE, BAND POSTERS plaster the walls of the exposed brick venue. A half finished beer drenched in condensation simmers in front of him, he is slightly dazed and out of it. His eyelids hang heavy.
The BAR sits behind him, patrons waiting for a drink. No one is currently serving. Bottles of WINE and OLD WHISKY fill the wall behind it.
A small D-I-Y stage is placed at the end of the room. It looks closer to a pallet that has been dressed up rather than a functioning stage. A MICROPHONE stands upon it, with two PA SPEAKERS placed either side.
The young man has a parlor sized ACOUSTIC GUITAR leaning up against the STOOL, the strap hanging on by a string.
The sound of amateurish indie pop music playing through speakers echoes around the small room. The young man’s head is down as he fidgets with something in his hands under the lip of the table.
Suddenly, the young man is startled by someone tapping his shoulder. (Extract from script written by Alex Tickner).
