Abstract
"This project will use the power of animation to explore themes of self-discovery, belonging, and emotional depth. By portraying the bond between two unlikely characters—a youthful and an old soul—this story will reflect how empathy, shared struggles, and understanding can bridge generational divides, fostering self-acceptance and connection."
Creative and Social Significance
The narrative will center on a protagonist who struggles with their identity and belonging. Through their journey, they encounter a character who, despite their differences, forms a tight-knit companionship. Aligning with the found family trope, which emphasizes that love and support can transcend biological ties, showcasing how connections can be forged through shared experiences and mutual understanding (Smith, 2022). By highlighting these themes, the film seeks to resonate with audiences who may feel marginalized or disconnected, ones that feel lost and alone and may inspire them that there is still grounds for hope.
