Abstract

I'm So Sorry, is a surrealist poetic tragedy presented as a short film with minimal dialogue. The film contains strong themes relating to isolation, trauma and healing through the scope of a masculine childhood experience. Viewers are guided to emotionally and psychologically engage with the main characters in order to complete narrative context and better access personal traumas which may then provide cathartic release.

The film follows the younger and older version of a self, inhabiting the same space but never to meet. The elders failure to be present with his younger self over time, eroding his self worth and ultimately leading him to a place of eternal solitude.
