Abstract
- In ‘Untitled Dragon Game’ players will take on the role of a young dragon with the goal of growing stronger and amassing immense hordes of wealth. Players will progress through thematic worlds/kingdoms each made up of a hub area and a series of levels after completing each players will progress towards their end goal of destroying the kingdom and gaining their treasure which in turn makes you stronger.
- The games Genre will be that of a 3D action platformer, the game will depict a sort of medium to low level of violence, masked and down played due to the games stylized nature. The game will be aimed towards a teen to young adult audience, aiming to evoke emotions of nostalgia from similar games from the 5-6 console generation.
- Players are thrown into the world, kingdom or “Hub area”, this is a large sort of open area that players can explore, fight enemies and get collectables. In the hub players will always be able to see their end goal, that of the main castle, however in order to get in their and destroy it players will first have to progress through the games individual levels The games levels can be tackled in any order but must all be beaten before they can complete the final one, levels are isolated from the hub allowing them to be different however they are still themed after the hub they are attached to. Each level ends with progress being made towards the final level this could be things like sabotaging catapults or destroying soldier barracks etc.
- Aesthetically the game will take on a sort of stylized medieval fantasy look meaning lots of castles and magic stuff and i don't know maybe a dwarf and an elf or two The games artstyle will as a whole will take on a stylized look, environments will be semi realistically proportioned however simplified to give them a more stylized look. Characters will take on a similar approach but allowing for more exaggeration in their designs mostly focusing on hands, feet or heads. Textures will take on a PBR style to allow for more dynamic reflections but will still maintain an aspect of stylization in them with sprinkles of hand painted ness but never going full in either direction
