Abstract
This project presents a four-track audio-visual EP designed as a cohesive narrative experience, structured around a classical story arc of introduction, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.
The work explores themes of women’s empowerment within patriarchal systems, addressing dark and socially relevant topics such as addiction, abuse, loss and grief, systemic exploitation, and societal expectations placed on women. Through experimental production, emotionally driven songwriting, and intentional visual world-building, the EP traces a transformation from vulnerability to self-authorship and reclaimed voice.
Audience testing using a mixed-methods approach (quantitative ratings and qualitative feedback) confirmed strong emotional impact and conceptual clarity, while also informing iterative refinements to audio production and visual readability. The project targets Gen Z and Millennial audiences through contemporary digital aesthetics and narrative depth, while also positioning itself for industry professionals by demonstrating conceptual coherence, technical development, and artistic intent.
