Abstract

We are a group of aspiring musicians and audio professionals from SAE Perth, united via our Capstone Project and our love of sound, creativity, and storytelling.

Individually, our projects range from music production, music composition, sound design, recording, mixing, and media audio, and are indicative of the varied creative interests and abilities we each have. Our projects each serve to explore our own unique creative identities and demonstrate the knowledge and experience gained in our education.

Our portfolio represents our development as artists and audio professionals, facilitated through the learning process here at SAE Perth.

Please browse through our projects, get to know us, and learn what we have to offer the next generation of music and audio.

Note

Nirupadhi Perera:

I contributed to Seeds of Persephone primarily through music production, creating the music for the project with support from Ryan. I developed the soundtrack in Ableton Live 12, to establish the intended atmosphere. I also assisted Ravindu with Foley recording, gaining practical experience in recording and using sound to enhance realism and immersion. Through the project, I collaborated with the team to ensure the music and Foley complemented the visuals and supported the overall experience.

Ravindu Poornima:

Responsible for recording and designing the project’s foley and environmental audio. I recorded footsteps, breathing, door interactions and other environmental sounds using the Zoom H4 and Rode NT2A, then edited and balanced the audio to support the project’s tension, realism and immersion. I also contributed to sound testing and refined the design based on audience feedback.

Kali Jamilla:

On Call : Psuchological Horror Video Game

Background Music One of the tracks I was assigned to make included background music, eerie ambient drones to play as the player traversed the world of the game. The main factor was to keep the composition simple as to not distract from the gameplay and focus of the player.

Title Screen Music: The main assignment as producer/composer was the title screen soundtrack. An 80's style electronic synth pad track that matched the neon aesthetic style of the world, and built a feeling of tension in the listener as they navigated the starting menue of the video game.

Ryan Pennacchio:

Seeds of Persephone Niru and I collaborated on a project titled Seeds of Persephone, a creepy horror animation designed to evoke a sense of tension and intrigue in its audience. Below, you’ll find an early version of the track, which I created, mixed, and mastered before seeing the finished animation, followed by the final product. For the completed version, Niru produced the music while I created the sound design.

Solo Works:

Show Me Love feat Zane Livingstone
