Abstract
Lov U Dead is a dark comedy short film that follows a mother preparing to break the news of her husband's death to their two young children. As the story unfolds, her seemingly composed behaviour begins to reveal something more unsettling.
The project involved the creation and integration of four visual effects shots, with a focus on blending the effects naturally into the live-action footage while supporting the film's storytelling and dark comedic tone.
This blog provides an insight into the creative and technical processes involved, the challenges encountered during production, and the techniques used to bring the visual effects shots to life.
