Abstract
Nick Wilson proposed the concept of “micro-virtuosity” when considering the skills and aspirations of modern electronic music performers. He spent a year developing his own form of micro-virtuosity for his Masters thesis project, presenting a series of electronic music performances using micro-instruments which he is now recording for an album. As well as discussing his approach to electronic music Nick also discussed how to use the interests and observations you have gained in one's own practices to develop academic projects.
