Abstract
An account of devising a simple creative exercise for drawing and animation that imposed a set limit of shapes (three) and the success that arose from restricting the options for students. The basic shapes (triangle, square and circle) have stimulated creativity in both students and the author and it has also influenced their teaching and animation practice.
