Abstract

The Amoeba Flaboratorium was a one day exhibition that took place in the end of the 26T2 trimester, and is based on the weekly flab sessions that have been taking place every week on campus; it was open for all students and staff to join, participate, and potentially lead projects. These sessions included group activities that ranged from paper making, projection mapping, and stop motion/rotoscoping animation, as well as individual art projects that included short films and installations, all based off this trimester’s theme, Amoeba.

flab, overall, is an art collective laboratory based in SAE University College, where every week, SAE Creatives meet up to create human-made art with the intention to exhibit our work by the end of the trimester. The purpose is to allow creatives, student or professional, to take a breather from regular work and just create using whatever resources we have available, especially in a time when generative AI work is more prevalent.
